Povl Eskildsen has created the MARCELLA lounge range with comfort in mind. The Marcella lounge series is a contemporary combination of aluminum with teak and rope, offering excellent seating comfort and a sleek and elegant look even without cushions.

Crafted with a durable teak frame and softened by contemporary rope and luxurious cushions, the Marcella lounge series offers unparalleled comfort. Its modular design empowers you to configure your ideal seating arrangement, whether it’s a cozy nook for two or a spacious gathering spot for family and friends.

The rope used in the Marcella Lounge Series is handmade, true color, UV resistant and recyclable. The woven polypropylene (PP) ensures that the rope dries quickly after a shower, despite the pleasant fabric feel.

The Marcella Lounge series comes with cushions  made of high quality (A-grade) fabric in the color ASH. The cushions have an inner cover made of a breathable, water-repellent fabric that is designed to prevent rainwater from penetrating the foam.

The cushions in the Marcella Lounge have a filling that is built around a core of high quality, durable foam that is free of calcium carbonate-based fillers that would cause the foam to wear out prematurely.

Marcella serie – Traditional Teak

The Marcella Lounge consists of the Marcella lounge bench (3-seat), the Marcella lounge chair and 4 modules (modular) namely the (2-seater) Marcella modular benches (arm left and arm right), this Marcella corner unit and a Marcella modular table which can be placed at the end of the module as well as in between the modules.

 Povl Eskildsen

A product of the classic Danish furniture tradition, Povl Eskildsen’s interest in design in general and furniture design in particular began at an early age on the shop floor of his parents’ furniture factory in Denmark. Povl studied architecture at the renowned Aarhus School of Architecture. He initially worked with a number of Danish indoor furniture companies before turning to outdoor furniture. Povl worked for several renowned garden furniture brands and brought a new sense of design to the outdoor furniture industry, especially in teak garden furniture. His designs brought the elegance and comfort that had been the norm in the Danish indoor furniture industry for decades to outdoor furniture, making design and comfort the key selling points.
