Kate relax chair

The Kate relax chair is an elegant and functional outdoor relax chair with a light, modern character. The backrest is adjustable in four different positions, allowing you to move easily between upright seating and a more reclined, relaxed posture.

The chair features an integrated head cushion in the same colour as the sling in Textilene® or Phifertex®, providing additional support and comfort. The combination of ergonomic design and flexible Textilene® or Phifertex® fabric ensures a surprisingly high level of seating comfort, even without a separate seat cushion.

The frame is crafted from premium A-grade teak and finished with stainless steel fittings, ensuring stability, durability and a refined contemporary appearance.

The Kate relax chair is available in four colours:

• Cloud – Phifertex® PVC/Olefin sling

Textilene® is a strong, UV- and colour-resistant sling material that is breathable and quick drying. It is highly durable and low maintenance, making it particularly suitable for outdoor use.

The new Cloud version is made from Phifertex® sling, a premium PVC/Olefin blend that combines the strength and dimensional stability of PVC with the softer touch and added comfort of Olefin. The light grey tone gives the relax chair a refined and contemporary look.

The combination of premium teak, sling in Textilene® or Phifertex® and stainless steel fittings makes this teak relax chair highly suitable for long-term outdoor use.

The flexible sling fabric adapts comfortably to the body, while the adjustable backrest offers versatility in everyday use.

For enhanced comfort, a matching Kate footstool is available, transforming the relax chair into a complete and comfortable outdoor lounge seat.

Sustainability and materials

The Kate relax chair is made from solid A-grade teak sourced from responsibly managed plantations. This high-quality teak is carefully selected for stability, structure and long-term durability.

Teak is naturally resistant to moisture, mould and decay due to its high oil and rubber content, making it exceptionally well suited for outdoor furniture.

Over time, untreated teak will develop a natural silver-grey patina when exposed to outdoor conditions. This is purely aesthetic and does not affect the quality or lifespan of the chair.

The Kate relax chair is part of the Kate collection by Traditional Teak. The range also includes deckchairs, stackable chairs, folding chairs and sun loungers, all designed in the same contemporary combination of teak and sling in Textilene® or Phifertex®.

Maintenance – Kate relax chair

For the maintenance of the teak components, we recommend using only Traditional Teak care products. These products are specially developed to clean, protect and preserve the natural appearance of teak garden furniture.

Teak Cleaner and Brightener 1 & 2
To clean weathered teak and restore its original warm colour, we recommend Teak Cleaner and Brightener 1 & 2. This product is suitable for periodic maintenance and visibly refreshes the wood.

Teak Sealer 3
If you wish to preserve the warm teak colour for as long as possible, Teak Sealer 3 is an excellent choice. It is easy to apply and provides long-lasting protection against greying.

Teak PatinaShield 4 & 5
Teak PatinaShield is a colourless protective treatment that prevents dirt and moisture from penetrating the teak. This 2-in-1 maintenance product protects the surface while supporting the development of an even, natural silver-grey patina.
