Carmen dining chair

Retaining the charm of its predecessors, the designer adds simplicity and ease of use to the new Carmen dining chair from Traditional Teak.

The Carmen dining chair owes its contours and the soft effect they create mainly to the rounded corners and edges. But also the organic transition from the back to the legs defines the look of the dining chair.

Features – Carmen dining chair

The frame of the Carmen dining chairs is made of solid teak finished with copper rings which are infused with Epoxy resin to prevent them from turning green.

The seat is made of Danish Cord (HDPE), a handmade wickerwork that stands the test of time in terms of strength and style combined with a pleasant feel. Danish cord, is made by twisting and braiding two extruded wires of high density polyethylene (HDPE).

Nylon glide feet are attached to prevent damage to the floor or chair leg

Cushions – Carmen dining chair

The Carmen dining chair comes with an extremely comfortable champagne-colored seat cushion.

In addition, a custom seat cushion can be ordered in a variety of exclusive fabrics such as Sunbrella® and Agora ® , choosing from a wide range of colors.

The Carmen series includes Carmen round table and elongated tables with solid teak wood table top or ceramic tops, dining chairs, and a sun lounger, all forming a harmonious ensemble. Thanks to its timeless design, each piece can be effortlessly combined.

Povl Eskildsen

A product of the classic Danish furniture tradition, Povl’s interest in design in general and furniture design in particular, started at a young age on the shop floor of his parent’s furniture factory in Salling,
Denmark. Povl studied architecture at the Aarhus School of Architecture. He innitially worked with a number of Danish indoor furniture companies, before turning his sights on outdoor furniture. Working with among others, several respected outdoor furniture brands, Povl brought a new sense of design into the outdoor furniture lndustry, in particular in teak furniture, where his designs brought the elegance & comfort that had been the norm in Danish indoor furniture for decades to a category where weight rather than design and comfort had been key selling parameters.

For the maintenance of the Carmen dining chairs we have several maintenance products with different functions, we recommend everyone to use only the products of Traditional Teak for our furniture.

Teak Cleaner and Whitener 1 & 2

To clean and restore gray discolored teak to its original honey brown color, we recommend using Traditional Teak’s Teak Cleaner and Brightener 1&2.

Teak Sealer 3

Easy to apply, Teak Sealer 3 preserves the honey brown color of teak for a long time.
