Kate folding chair

The Kate folding chair is designed as a lightweight, functional and stable teak folding chair. Its foldable frame allows for easy storage and effortless repositioning, without compromising comfort or appearance.

Stainless steel hinges ensure a solid construction and smooth folding mechanism. Thanks to its relatively low weight, the chair is easy to handle and quickly ready for use when additional seating is required. This flexibility makes it particularly suitable for terraces, compact outdoor spaces and applications near water or within the maritime sector.

The seat and backrest are made from Textilene® or Phifertex®, depending on the selected colour.

The combination of ergonomic shaping and flexible fabric provides comfortable and lightly supportive seating, even without an additional cushion.

Within the Kate range, this folding chair is also available in a version with armrests, the Kate folding armchair, for those who prefer additional support and comfort.

The Kate folding chair is available in four colours:

• Cloud – Phifertex® PVC/Olefin

Textilene® is a strong, UV- and colour-resistant material that is breathable and quick drying. It is durable and low maintenance, making it particularly suitable for long-term outdoor use, including coastal and waterside environments.

The new Cloud version is made from Phifertex®, a premium PVC/Olefin blend that combines the structural strength of PVC with a softer touch. This light grey tone enhances the chair’s refined, contemporary look with a subtle nautical character.

Sustainability and materials

The Kate folding chair is crafted from solid A-grade teak sourced from responsibly managed plantations. This premium teak is carefully selected for structural stability, grain quality and long-term durability.

Teak is naturally resistant to moisture, mould and decay due to its high oil and rubber content, making it exceptionally suitable for outdoor and coastal applications.

Over time, untreated teak will develop a natural silver-grey patina when exposed to outdoor conditions. This is purely aesthetic and does not affect the quality or lifespan of the furniture.

Both Textilene® and Phifertex® are UV-resistant, colourfast, breathable and quick drying, perfectly complementing the durable nature of the teak frame.

Care and maintenance – Kate folding chair

For maintaining the teak components, we recommend using only Traditional Teak maintenance products.

Teak Cleaner and Brightener 1 & 2
To clean weathered teak and restore its original warm colour, we recommend Teak Cleaner and Brightener 1 & 2.

Teak Sealer 3
If you wish to preserve the warm teak tone for as long as possible, Teak Sealer 3 is an excellent choice.

Teak PatinaShield 4 & 5
Teak PatinaShield protects the surface from dirt and moisture while supporting the development of an even, natural silver-grey patina.
