Kate deckchair

The Kate deckchair is a lightweight and versatile teak sun lounger where comfort and functionality come together in a refined design. The backrest is adjustable in four positions and the footrest can be folded up and removed, allowing you to switch easily between relaxed seating and comfortable reclining.

Weighing just 13 kg, the deckchair is easy to fold and move. Specially designed wheels are available as an option, further enhancing mobility and making repositioning even more effortless.

The frame is crafted from premium A-grade teak and combined with high-quality sling fabric. Depending on the chosen colour, the chair features either Textilene or the new Phifertex PVC/Olefin sling.

The Kate deckchair is available in four colours:

• Black – Textilene®
• Taupe – Textilene®
• White – Textilene®
• Cloud – Phifertex® PVC/Olefin sling

Textilene is a strong polyester-based sling fabric that is UV and colour resistant, breathable and quick drying. It is highly durable and low maintenance, making it ideal for outdoor furniture.

The new Cloud version is made from Phifertex ® sling, a premium PVC/Olefin blend that combines the strength and dimensional stability of PVC with the softer touch and comfort of Olefin. This light grey tone gives the deckchair a refined and contemporary appearance.

The combination of premium teak, sling fabric and stainless steel hinges makes this deckchair highly suitable for intensive outdoor use.

Teak is renowned for its natural weather resistance due to its high oil and rubber content. It is naturally resistant to moisture, mould and decay, making it an excellent choice for high-quality garden furniture.

The stainless steel hinges and fittings ensure stability while adding a subtle modern contrast to the warm teak frame.

Optional custom wheels increase the flexibility of the deckchair and make it even more practical for use on the terrace or in the garden.

Cushions – Kate deckchair

Several cushion models are available for the Kate deckchair, allowing you to tailor both comfort and appearance to your preference.

Three full-length lounger cushions are available:

Elegant – CDE185
A beautifully finished cushion with a refined valance. This model offers a classic and luxurious look combined with excellent comfort.

Design – DCD185
A sleeker mattress-style cushion with a clean and contemporary appearance, perfectly suited to the modern character of the Kate series.

Michelin – CDM185
A slightly thinner model with stitched panel detailing. This version offers a lighter aesthetic while maintaining comfortable support.

In addition, two extra comfort options are available:

Head cushion – HCE in the Elegant model with valance

Neck cushion – NCD in the Design model, semi-circular shaped

These additional cushions provide enhanced head and neck support for extended relaxation.

All cushions are available in a wide selection of premium Sunbrella® and Agora® fabrics. These outdoor fabrics are known for their durability, colour fastness and comfort, allowing the Kate deckchair to be fully customised to suit the style of your garden or terrace.

Kate collection

The Kate deckchair is part of the Kate collection by Traditional Teak. The range also includes stackable chairs, folding chairs and sun loungers, all designed in the same contemporary combination of teak and sling fabric.

This creates a functional and modern outdoor setting where flexibility, comfort and durability come together.

Sustainability and materials

The Kate deckchair is crafted from solid A-grade teak sourced from responsibly managed plantations. This premium teak is carefully selected for stability, structure and long-term durability.

Over time, untreated teak will develop a natural silver-grey patina when exposed to outdoor conditions. This is purely aesthetic and does not affect the quality or lifespan of the furniture.

The combination of solid teak, stainless steel and high-performance sling fabric ensures that the Kate deckchair is designed for many years of outdoor use.

Maintenance – Kate deckchair

For the maintenance of the teak components, we recommend using only Traditional Teak care products. These products are specially developed to clean, protect and preserve the natural appearance of teak.

Teak Cleaner and Brightener 1 & 2
To clean weathered teak and restore its original warm colour, we recommend Teak Cleaner and Brightener 1 & 2. This product is suitable for periodic maintenance and visibly refreshes the wood.

Teak Sealer 3
If you wish to preserve the warm teak colour for as long as possible, Teak Sealer 3 is an excellent choice. It is easy to apply and provides long-lasting protection against greying.

Teak PatinaShield 4 & 5
Teak PatinaShield is a colourless protective treatment that prevents dirt and moisture from penetrating the teak. This 2-in-1 maintenance product protects the surface while supporting the development of an even, natural silver-grey patina.
